Configuring Public Site Search

G'day,

The developer's guide tells you to add entries to AssetListener_reg and IndexSourceMetaDataConfig, and enable the SearchEvent in the SystemsEvent table. This will enable the public site search.

I mirrored the required rows from an authoring instance for convenience. That works too, however, Sites complains that the index directory is missing. If I create the directories manually, it complains that the index is missing.

Since this is a delivery system, there is no Admin UI. How do I reindex on the delivery server? 11.1.1.8.0 patch 7 calls for reindexing after applying the patch, how can you do that without republishing to trigger the listener?
