PM: Automatic resource hours adjustment possible?

Hi Experts, our customer wants to know if there is any possibility to adjust the resource hours automatically on the PM's based on past PM schedules. Because manually adjusting hours is taking lot of time  so customer question is why cant there be a logic which can look at the past PM schedules & adjust the hours accordingly for similar assets.
