IP2014 upgrade stuck at "Generate Merge Report"

Hi All,

I've installed 8.1.1.14 along with PatchSet 2 and started the upgrade as described in Bookshelf.

The process is now stuck at "Generate Merge Report" for 24 hours at 0%CPU and no disk activity.

There's a black window labeled "java.exe" which is doing exactly zero.

I know there have been issues with the initial release of IP2014, but it should have been fixed with PS1 already, no?

What can I do - is it safe to bypass this step by setting it to "Complete" in the state log?
