Can Promise Messages be safely removed from JDE World?

So, we might be migrating from World to E1 and I was going through the documentation of the file conversions.  I noticed it converts the promises message files (F01131, F01132 & F01133).  I looked in these files and noticed they are filled with email message from about 20 years ago.  Completely worthless.  Is there anyway to remove these messages from the files safely so that I'm not transferring junk to the new system?  Thanks in advance.
