Read temp files takes longer than datafiles

Hi,

My temp tablespace has 2 temp files. I have a strange situation whereby the average read (ms) for the first one of my temp files, temp01.dbf, is much longer than the other temp file or any other data file in the database.

For example, earlier today the av read time for all other files was around 10ms, but the temp file was 123ms. On one occasion yesterday, avg read time was around 20ms, but the temp file was 600ms. Then on Tuesday, the other files were around 10ms, but temp file was 1532ms! I am getting all of these stats from the AWR reports which run every 15 minutes.

Howdy, Stranger!
