SC 3.3 3/13 - configuring control of CPU usage

Hello experts,

we are having multiple HA failover Zones on a 2-node SC 3.3 3/13 and want to assign CPU shares (FSS) to separate the workload on Zone/RG level. The HA failover Zones are controlled by sczbt and the applications by sczsh component of the HA container agent. There are no dependencies between the HA Failover Zones.

SC Admin guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37745_01/html/E37724/gbykx.html#scrolltoc) describes multiple scenarios how to control the CPU usage

  • #1: RG runs on the global-cluster voting node
  • #2: RG runs on a global-cluster non-voting node by using the default processor set
  • #3: RG runs on a global-cluster non-voting node with a dedicated processor set

Howdy, Stranger!
