Is it possible to write off a CIP project in projects module without going through Assets?

Hi

We have several CIP projects, with invoices against them, that the business now wants to write off without going through the assets module. The projects were never completed so shouldn't go to Assets. It needs to be written off and closed in Projects subledger, and a manual journal entry passed in GL for the write off.

Any idea how this can be done within projects?
