Automated way to start depreciation for more than one asset and many tax books

We are looking for a more automated way to start depreciation for more than one asset and many tay books. User have to do a lot of manual steps before he can run the depreciation first time:

Capitalize CIP assets including "Date placed in service" and than to go in each tax book and change the "Date placed in service". User has e.g. 150 assets and 5 tax books. It needs a lot of time. Is there any way to automate this prozess?
