Data Validation Manager - performance impact

Hi,

anybody experienced with performance issues caused  by craeting many rule action in  Data Validation Manager e.g for Order Validation? Best practice is to have <100 rules per 1 Business component.  However, is there any better way how to validate e.g. Order structure (field values, dependencies etc.)
