ACFS on application tier

Hi,

We currently have ACFS filesystems mounted on the database RAC nodes, which are exported to an application cluster. The exported filesystems are shared across the application cluster and mounted using the HAVIP.

Does Oracle support the implementation of ACFS directly on the application servers for the management of shared application storage? i.e. grid/acfs implementation only, across application servers.
