IP 2014 - Customizing Aurora theme

Hello, we've updated to IP 2014 and are trying to update the theme via our own custom.css which would load after the Aurora.

Trying to figure out how to remove the area between the Screen/Category bar and the applets. There seems to be wasted white space. Have tried using the inspect element, but can't seem to locate that element. Attached is a screenshot that circles the area I'd like to remove in Red.
