EBS Java Form Opens More Slowly With Code Signing Certificate

After purchasing a Trusted Publisher Code Signing Certificate (CSC) from Thawte and deploying it in one of our test instances, the EBS Java form opens more slowly with the CSC!  In fact, it takes 80 seconds from the click of a Java forms menu on the EBS Homepage (after successful login) until I can see the Java form opening.  80 seconds!  Our Apps DBA deployed the CSC, not me.  Has anyone noticed this undesirable difference once a CSC has been deployed?  Is there any obvious cause that can be addressed?

Some info:  EBS R12.1.3 on Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) 5.10.  Java 1.7 Update 21 on the EBS server.  Java 1.7 Update 72 on the Windows 7 (64-bit) client.  Internet Explorer 9 on the Windows 7 (64-bit) client.
