Table Compress and Reorganizing

HI,

Though this is an core DB related question still as it is related to JDE table space i am putting this question under this forum.

app- 9.1 Update 2

Tools - 9.1.3.0

DB - Oracle 11g R2

DB OS- Unix

The Enterprise Manager console is showing few recommendations for Table compress and reorganize.(as attached). I have few questions in this regard as I am new to DB administration..

1. How frequently should we Compress and reorganize tables.

2. Can the activities be done in live operational mode of business. If yes How much performance is affected

3. Does these activities really helps in reclaim space.
