R12.2.4 - How to capture overtime against projects

We would like to know do we need to create a new expenditure type with type class of overtime for capturing overtime and costing it at overtime rate? Can we achieve it with a single expenditure type which has both the classifications i.e. straight time and overtime? In this case how would the system know if the hours are straight time hours or overtime hours?
