Pre-config when adding servers to an existing pool

in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) Question

I will be adding several servers to an existing pool (OVM 3.3.1 x86) and need to know what, if anything, I should configure on the servers first. Will I need to configure the VLAN Interfaces and Networks in advance? What about access to the datastores? It would be great if all this happened automatically when the server is added.
