After R12 upgrade Credit Memos are shown on unposted items report

Hi,

We have a cash basis accounting system. After we upgraded to R12.1.3, on the unposted items report credit memos are shown. Hence we can not close the AR periods. We only has core financial modules. Please suggest me the probable cause and solution if known.
