Adaptive Cursor Sharing 11GR2 question

Hi All,

We have an OLTP instance running with 1000 odd tables and 500 odd indexes.

We hit an issue with a client who was running a large process which does many inserts/updates.  It sometimes took a few hours to run (normal behavior) but at other times it took over 24h.

We use Bind variables in our code.

A call was logged with Oracle support and they referred us to the following note 438755.1 (output attached) and TKPROF/StatsPack output was provided for additional help.

My aim here is to try and find out if there is ultimately an issue with Adaptive Cursor Sharing in 11G and if the recommendation is to turn this feature off completely for all our environments?
