Rookie: Linux/Oracle enterprise server on Windows 8 64bit

I have extensive experience using IBM and Solaris machines with Oracle, but am deficient in the ways of implementing LINUX on a Window 8 64-bit machines -AND- Oracle enterprise.  I had 16GB memory on my machine.

Would someone kindly point me in the right direction to begin digging in and cutting teeth.
