Does EBS allow Implementing CDC/Streams

in EBS Customizations (MOSC) Question

We are trying to implement the Change Data Capture feature in Oracle EBS.

Does anyone know its implicit to Oracle's supporting policy and future patches/upgrade?

Our current EBS version 12.1.3 and database is 12c. Is it allowed to implement CDC or Streams to capture data changes in our EBS environment?

The white paper says it will create internal triggers or supplemental logs on the tables, could they be wiped out in EBS patching or upgrading processes? 

Thanks for any thoughts on this.
