Error while opening application manager

Accessing the Hyperion EPMA Application Library generates this error message:

"

Default Process Error handler: An error occurred processing the result from the server.
URI: http://workspace_server:19000/calcmgr/common.getSummaryInfo.do
Description: expected expression, got '<' -

Due to this error, the global variables are returning null values. so the Business rules stopped working
