Is Microsoft Word 2003 still supported with Siebel 8.1.1.11 proposal generation?

We are upgrading to 8.1.1.11 and currently have Word 2003.  Is Word 2003 supported with Siebel 8.1.1.11 proposal generation?  I saw on the Certifications tab that .11 is supported with 2007 and 2010.  If we were to move to either Word 2007 or 2010, do we need to convert our existing proposal templates (created in Word 2003) to the new verison of word?
