Revenue recognition

Hello,

When we create an invoice, our receivables is getting debited and revenue account is getting credited. Does this mean revenue is recognized since it is already credited.

We have bill only lines , and this scenario is happening when we create an invoice manually or when the invoice is created automatically.

Any feedback on the above is highly appreciated.
