Recovery Area Alert Not Being Fired

I recently installed and configured EM CC 12.1.0.4.0, and in the process of testing the different alerts and incident creation. I'm testing the alert for Recovery Area Size, however it seems that it doesn't appear to fire for some databases (both warning and critical.

I've tested it on several database instances across different servers, here are conditions I've found where it has or hasn't worked:

11.2.0.3 - DB no standby - No alert

11.2.0.3 - DB Primary - No alert

11.2.0.3 - Logical Standby - Alerting works

10.2.0.5 - DB no standby - Alerting works

I haven't configured any custom metrics as it seems to work for some databases, therefore I assumed the rule was working. Any help or information to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
