ODA X4-2 Storage Configuration

Hi everyone,

My organization recently the ODA X4-2 appliance, which a tech from Oracle will be out to configure very shortly.  Before he comes out onsite, he has asked us to answer some questions up front:



One such question is:  (written by the tech)


"Finally, there are two decisions that directly impact how much storage space you'll have for your data. There is the redundancy setting which is either normal or high. Normal will create a mirror of your drives in ASM. High will create a triple mirror of your drives in ASM. So, high redundancy will remove one third of your disk space.
