Quality Plan not updating Work Order

I have created a quality plan that executes a SQL query. When the user enters a value in the sub-status field on the quality plan, it triggers the SQL Query to update a dff on the Work Order with the sub-status the user has added.

If I enter in the quality results in the quality module, it works fine. The Work Order dff is updated with the user entered sub-status. In the view requests window, it is triggering the Check Periodic Alert process every time the results are entered.

If I am in Enterprise Asset Management, when the user goes in to the quality plan on a Work Order and enters a sub-status and presses apply, the dff isn't getting updated. If I look at the requests, it shows a quality plan process being run but not the Check Periodic Alert process.
