RDS protocol for oracle and grid home

Hello,

I executed skgxpinfo from both oracle and grid home this is showing RDS .The communication over interconnect is on IB and I think in that case would both home show RDS? I mean is this utility only to show protocol being used in private interconnect  ?

[oracle@cindb1004a ~]$ /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/bin/skgxpinfo -v

Oracle RDS/IP (generic)

[oracle@cindb1004a ~]$ /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/dbhome_1/bin/skgxpinfo -v

Oracle RDS/IP (generic)
