Q: Solaris resource management - cpu resources for system processes on GZ

edited Feb 10, 2015 10:05AM in Oracle Solaris Performance, Panics, Hangs, and Dtrace (MOSC) 3 commentsAnswered

Hello Experts,

we are using dedicated-cpu resources to separate workloads between Solaris Zones. Unfortunately, the number of threads (dedicated-cpus) are limited on our systems. Therefore we are having just some threads/dedicated-cpus available for the default CPU pool (GZ).

Has Solaris implemented a security mechanism that system processes on GZ (like RT processes on Solaris cluster) are getting enough CPU resources ?

thank you and best regards,

Christian
