Database Backup and Recovery (MOSC)

Upgrade Recovery Catalog Database

Hi Friends,

I was trying to connect to the Target Database and Catalog Database from the RMAN Client on the Database server and saw the below error.

connected to target database: ABCDE (DBID=182736460)

connected to recovery catalog database

PL/SQL package RCAT.DBMS_RCVCAT version 11.02.00.03 in RCVCAT database is too old

I found that the Catalog database is an Oracle Restart version 11.2.0.2 and the Grid Infrastructure is 11.2.0.3.5. All the existing databases in our environment are 11gr2 and we are now building new 12.1.0.2 databases.
