Import Application Accounting Definitions

I ran the  Import Application Accounting Definitions( Subledger)  using AR responsibility to import a data file related to  AR and it was processed successfully.  I have another data file for Asset and need to run the same program. Do I need to switch  to Asset responsibility and run  asset data file? I have  the impression that there is no need for me to switch responsibility. Is that correct?
