11.2.0.3 database running on AIX7.1 cio set on redo log filesystem or not?

Hi we have a 11.2.0.3 database running on AIX7.1(JFS2 filesystems)  The filesystemio_options for the database has been set to "setall".  For CDC it has been recommended that we mount the redo log filesystem without the -o cio flag.  What will this do to the performance of the database, as we currently have the cio set on its filesystem. Thanks
