Violates uniqueness within inventory items for same serial numbers (with same item code) having diff

Hi All,

We found same serial numbers (with same item code) having differenrt IB instances. One is EXPIRED and other is in 'repaired' status.

User is trying to update current location's site in instance 4675270 (which in not expired), and getting error as 'serial number violates uniqueness within inventory items'.

How to do remedy for this particular case, as one instance is already expired and not in use.
