Attach document or annex to purchase requisition from work order.

Hi,

We would like to initiate purchase requisitions from work orders, example:  by creating description direct items in the work order. This is all native. However, we also require to attach additional information to this description direct item so that it carries through to the requisition, purchase order and eventaully to the vendor.

Is this a functionality available from the work order. If not, any ideas on what an approach can be for a custom development to address this need.
