How does the "Member Formula" work in Hyperion Planning?

Hi everyone, I have met a difficult in understanding "Member Formula" function in member property. The issue is specified that I have defined the equation for member (Project 1) in "Member Formula" attribute <Project1 = Project2 + Project3;> in the "Properties of Project 1". After that I have deployed Application.

Then I showed Form, but have not seen any change of data in Data grid of the form, I mean I did not see the impact of defining "Member Formula" attribute.

Please help me to understand the working of this attribute. Many thanks and best regards!
