Embedded Report in Detail Page

In a previous discussion, it says that a web applet with a URL of a report is no longer the recommended way to embed a report into a detail page.  What is the recommended way?   

Can I only embed the report in the Related Info section of a Detail Page.?

Any examples would be appreciated.
