Hardware requirements for a Solaris upgrade with respect to Siebel upgrade to 8.1.1.14 IP 2014

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our Siebel 8.0.0.10 to 8.1.1.14 (IP 2014). Presently we are using Solaris 10 as the Operating System.

In future we might go for an OS upgrade to Solaris 11. Are there any white papers or any suggestions you can provide, to find out if anyone typically upgrade their Solaris boxes from 10 to 11 when going to a new Siebel version 8.1.1.14?  (8.1.1.11 and above)

If we are building a new Solaris server for the upgrade, what would be minimum hardware requirements? Does it make sense to upgrade the hardware now if we know we will have to upgrade the OS in the future?
