Projects : Hierarchy Vs Global Hierarchy

Hell All - We can use Global Hierarchies for cross business group access, question here is if we have 10 operating units (assuming they are spread across 3 business groups).

Are there any issues if we use Global Hierarchies for some OUs and Hierarchies for some, do we need to follow one way as a best practice?

Are there any technical issues downstream?
