Can Bonus Depreciation be setup to be Retroactive to the start of the Calendar Year for the year the Bonus is initiated?

My understanding is onus Depreciation is from a point in time going forward.

For example, an asset in year 2 of its life years is awarded Bonus Dpreciation in DEC 2015.

Will the bonus depreciation amount retroactively go back to JAN 15 or only be applied in Dec 2015?
