Solaris 10 x86 VM Performance Issue

We have customized Solaris 10 x86 10/09 for our application and used in Intel server with two 500 GB HD. We tried to use the same OS to create as VM in VMWare which has 6TB storage. Everything looks fine but performance is very very slow compared to Intel bare metal. When importing an Oracle dump in this server which runs for almost 2 hours where as in bare metal it runs for 20 minutes only and also all the IO related operation also very slow. We are not able to find any solution for this issue. Also we have
