Please let me know process of standaleone grid migration from old to new server by attaching AS

how to  move  Oracle 11.2.0.4 grid infractructure from old server to  new server ?

In this scenario existing ASM diskgroups containing  will detached from the old server and attached to  new server .

original server will renamed as old and new server have the original hostname.


We planning  to   install   11G  grid   and configuration ASM via installer .

In this option  to configure ASM we need to  create disk diskgroup in one of the screen.I dont want to  create diskgroup

but use existing diskgroup .

Ws are planning to  copy the ASM spfile from he old server to  the new server.


How will  be the ASM  disk group resources  will be created in the cluster if we are attaching the old asm diskgroups.
