HFM Redeployment of an application - is data available during the process?

Relatively new to Hyperion.  Wondering if application reports, etc. (via HFM reports or Smartview) can still retrieve data during an application redeployment.  Redeploying takes some time, so I am trying to understand the impact to end users trying to run reports, pull data, etc.  Thank you in advance!
