Is there currently an upgrade path for Oracle EPM from 11.1.2.2 to 11.1.2.4? What is the recommended

We are looking for any documentation/suggestion on upgrade our Oracle EPM 11.1.2.2 to 11,1,2,4. What is the recommended approach?

In place upgrade? Or build out a new hardware/infrastructure and migrate apps to 11.1.2.4? We are currently on Windows 2008 R2 and would like to use windows 2012 server if possible. Any documentation etc would be greatly appreciated.
