Replacing DB server and Enterprise Server

Hi,

We are into replacing our JDE enterpriseone box (Which is a logic/batch/Database) server.

App - 9.1

Tools - 9.1.3

DB - Oracke 11g (Same for both the box)

I have referred the following docs 1944173.1 and 1071557.1

I have few more queries :

1. Why move Pathcode folder from one box to other why not copy??

2. Why to create Database datasource for the new server manually?? will the installation workbench wont do it ?

3. Additionally how to migrate the shared table spaces??

Please make me understand the underlying technology reason.
