Flex accounting with Inventory module - not working.

We are attempting to use flex accounting with the Inventory module for the first time.  We have tried to use rule setup method 'O' and 'C' for application XT4111Z1. Added FA for F4111, F4102, and F0101 on XT4111Z1. Added flex rule by Object Account to flex subsidiary. Entered object account number without subsidiary as a non-posting accounting and account number with subsidiary as a posting account. Created an inventory transaction and got an error for a non-posting account; meaning it is not flexing the subsidiary.  Changed flex rule to search on AAI number (instead of object account), with same results.
