How to install essbase 11.1.2.3 clients (EAS and essbase client) ?

I tried to install the EAS and essbase client from the client package V37938-01.zip on a windows 7 x64 but I have the following issues:

The essbase client and MaxL gives me an error

The EAS starts but cannot connect to the essbase server, although I can ping and telnet the server

Installation of Smartview works perfectly.

What are the pre-requisites to install EAS and essbase client ?
