Question about Authenticated Users AD Group on 11gR2 on Windows

I see that the OUI added the Active Directory Group 'Authenticated Users' with Read, List, Read/Execute permissions to the Oracle DB Home.  This seems odd to me and I'm hoping to learn why this is needed.  I don't see a reason for this group to ever have any access to a server, especially a Database Server.  Thanks!
