Temporary flag Y for a table

Dear All

I have a custom form in which some table are being used which do not show any data. I have seen in ALL_OBJECTS view that that tables have TEMPORARY = Y. What does it mean?? Is this a reason for that tables not showing any data?? After insert and commit form why those tables do not show any data??
