Method to bypass - Contract Header Period Changes to the Highest Time Unit of Measure

Hi All

Request your inputs in the below scenario.

Setups:

1. Warranty is defined in Inventory, with primary UOM set to Days

2. This Warranty is mapped to a servicable item in BOM, and the quantity entered here is 90.

Current functionality:

The warranty is created for a duration of 1 Quarter. I suspect this is due to the reasoning as per note :

Expected functionality:

The warranty duration is expected to be 90 days.

Please suggest if I am missing any feature and if there is any way to achieve the expected functionality.
