Payslip Modeling

We are planning to implement payslip modeler. The legislation is US. There are quite a list of elements that the client wants to use for payslip modeling. I have gone through the implementation guide, but have a few questions on the same:
- Should we create a simulation element for all the elements that are required for payslip modeling as a mandatory step?
- The elements should not have multiple entries checked: There are some elements for which the multiple entries check box is not checked (Recurring elements). Even in this case, should we create a simulation element, enable simulation in the DFF of this element and then attach the original element or can we go ahead and enable simulation on the existing element?
