Solaris 10 - Boot error

edited Mar 3, 2015 10:02AM in Oracle Solaris File Systems and Disk Management (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

Hi,

I have a solaris 10 u4

SDS is installed on it ... All fs are UFS

d2 is the / metadevice and d5 is /var

After a server crash, we have repaired the superblock on d2 and d5 ... and ran fsck ....

fsck does not report any error any more.

But when we boot we get :

The / file system (/dev/md/rdsk/d2) is being checked.

ERROR: svc:/system/filesystem/usr:default failed to mount /  (see 'svcs -x' for details)

Feb 23 17:36:31 svc.startd[9]: svc:/system/filesystem/usr:default: Method "/lib/svc/method/fs-usr" failed with exit status 95.

Feb 23 17:36:31 svc.startd[9]: system/filesystem/usr:default failed fatally: transitioned to maintenance (see 'svcs -xv' for details)

Howdy, Stranger!
