Edit item description for catalog items in iProcurement (12.1.3)

Hi everybody,

after opening a SR about item description not editable for catalog items in iProcurement, support wrote me:

Prior to 12.1.3 this is standard functionality to not allow update of the supplier details or item description for catalog items. The supplier and item description information is only updatable for Non-Catalog items. iProcurement does not allow update of the supplier or item description for catalog items.

Also they wrote me that in 12.1.3, this functionality has changed as described in [  Note 1494574.1  - How To Make Supplier Fields Updatable On Requisitions Edit Lines Page ? ( Doc ID 1494574.1  ) ]

These notes refer on Non-catalog items, but I would know, outside the ER, if there's a standard way to make item description updatable by the user in iProcurement.
